AWP-Spieler Mikail ‚Maikelele‘ Bill von Team Kinguin bringt auf seiner Facebook-Fanpage ein Thema auf, das bisher so noch gar nicht besprochen wurde: Personenschutz für Spieler auf Events. Gerade während der ESL One Cologne habe es für die Spieler kaum eine Möglichkeit gegeben, eine ruhige Minute vor ihren Anhängern zu finden. Dies könnte zu einem Sicherheitsrisiko werden, gibt der 24-Jährige zu bedenken: „Ich denke, Bodyguards für Spieler wären wirklich nötig. Was ist zum Beispiel, wenn ein Verrückter kommt und auf uns gewettet und verloren hat? So einer kann praktisch tun was er will.“

Am I the only one that thinks adding bodyguards on tournament is very needed? This is something that we need to think about and I’m ofc talking about all the eSports games out there. In Lanxess arena there was so much fans everywhere and it was kind of impossible to go out from ViP Lounge because the fans just ran over you. I’m not saying this isn’t fun but sometimes it’s getting to much when you just want to go buy something to eat or whatever. Lets say some psycho kid or psycho friends betted on our game and lost, they can actually do what ever they want without any problems. Players need to have public wc, in some tournament we need to eat in public etc. I think the security is getting much needed. Even when my team was in our VIP Lounge fans could come inside and ask for autographs, pictures etc. I think bodyguards is very needed or more secured space for players. I really love my fans and I really like fan meetings and everything like that don’t get me wrong.
